Subiaco-based 303 Advertising Group has acquired the Web Development and Content Management arm of Steve Pretzel's Pretzel Logic, in a move to develop the company's interactive credentials.
The buy will see Pretzel's four web development staff move to 303 in what the company hopes will be the first step in developing a specific online agency.
While plans for the new agency are still under discussion, 303 managing director Nick Cleaver told WA Business News the company was attracted by the flexibility and functionality of Pretzel's web pages.
The companies had worked together on various projects over the last two years.
"Pretzel is an established interactive brand with over a ten year history and a great track record," Mr Cleaver said.
"We see (the acquisition) as a natural extension of our strategic, creative and design credentials and believe this will allow us to better serve our clients in the web development and hosting space."
Mr Cleaver said 303 was interested in further acquisitions to develop its web presence.
The team will continue to trade under the Pretzel name.
Mr Pretzel will leave the business to pursue other business interests, but will remain available as a consultant to the company.
