Alberto Lavandeira

Alberto Lavandeira has over 38 years of experience operating and developing mining projects. He was the chief executive, president and chief operating officer of Rio Narcea Gold Mines (1995-2007), which built three mines including Aguablanca. He was also the director of Samref Overseas SA (2007-2014) and was involved in the development of the Mutanda Copper-Cobalt Mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Mr Lavandeira is also chief executive & managing director of Atalaya Mining, owner of the Riotinto copper project near Seville in Spain.
