Serco has awarded $50 million in information and communications contracts at Fiona Stanley Hospital, with Data3 and Dimension Data selected for significant deals.

Under the contracts announced today, Data#3 will supply the network infrastructure for the hospital, while Dimension Data will supply computing, storage and backup services.

Data3 managing director John Grant said the firm was delighted to pick up the contract.

"This project is a significant win for Data3 and is one of the largest in our company's history," Mr Grant said in a statement.

"Western Australia is a fast-growing economy that has provided us with many opportunities to expand our range of solutions or services.

"Working together with Serco is an exciting prospect for Data#3 as we help set up and deliver one of the country's most technologically advanced hospitals."

Data3 has had a presence in the Perth IT services market since 2008.
