East Africa has the potential to be the world’s most important energy producer by 2040 – The East Africa Oil and Gas Australia Conference is an ‘Equilibrium Point’ where Australian and African companies can explore Oil and Gas opportunities in East Africa.

The inaugural East Africa Oil and Gas Conference Australia is one of its kind to be brought to Australia.  A discovery of significant quantities of oil in East Africa presents a wealth of opportunity that requires undivided attention from all interested parties. It is not surprising that 2014 sees the first major East Africa Oil and Gas Conference collaboration being spearheaded by the East African Governments brought to Australia.

The East Africa Oil and Gas Conference Australia is supported by Austrade and it is organised in partnership with the High Commission of the Republic of Uganda in Australia, The Kenya High Commission Canberra, The Ministry of Energy and Minerals of the United Republic of Tanzania, the Kenya - Australia Chamber of Commerce, The Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania in Japan, the Australia - Tanzania Business Council, and the Tanzania’s Tourism Goodwill Ambassador in Australia.

The Minister for Energy and Minerals of the United Republic of Tanzania Hon. Prof. Sospeter M. Muhongo will launch the Conference.

Eminent speakers, Government officials, company representatives and exhibitors will cover a range of issues including rapid growth in East Africa’s Oil and Gas  exploration, development, production, joint ventures, existing and emerging projects, modes of agreements, new opportunities, bid rounds and related strategies, investment, services, financing, logistical supplies, country specific regulations,  transactions and implications.
