The Burswood Dome is due to come down, sometime in the future, so why doesn't Packer buy that land and build his 6 Star Crown Towers Perth on that spot instead of destroying the golf course and the views of people that invested heavily in the apartment complexes overlooking the Golf Course. In some ways Packer Building the Hotel directly in front of the apartments, may, in my opinion, contravene the TPA as don't forget he was part of that development up until 2009, when he sold out his interests to Mirvac. It is extremley hard to comprehend that the Hotel was not on the drawing Board prior to his sell out. Remember that these apartments were sold to people on the basis that their views could never be build out. Good ploy Mr Packer, take as much money from the people purchasing the apartments, sell off your interests, then build in front of them. This , in my opinion, is definately morally wrong, if not legally wrong, just depends on the timing. It is about time the State Goverment and Packer came clean and disclosed to the public the timing of all these plans. Anyway a 6 Star Hotel in Perth will do nothing to relieve the pressure on Hotel Accommodation in Perth, what Mum and Dad can afford the estimated $1,500 per night room cost, the Hotel is simply for Packer to fly his "Whales" in from overseas and accommodate them at the expense of the Families that call the Burswood Penninsula home.

I worked at Deakin. Not suprised by plagiarism. The admissions team is 80% of Asian origin, 10% of Indian, 5% of Indonesian and 5% of caucasian, from what I could see four years ago (2008) and the head of the international division came from Asia too. Deakin's top heads are only driven by their budgets and bonuses. That;s it. Sad? You bet. They willingly sacrifice quality so enrolling people who barely understand English with supposed IELTS passes is super normal. A handful of Deakin advisors who used to work in international divisions of Deakin, privately bragged how they write assignments for students as they had their own written for a small fee when they were students. Raising concerns or whistleblowing means you get made redundant by shrewd maneuvering of Deakin's ever resourceful HR head and departmental managers. Deakin VC and Chancellor could not care less - in reality. They pretend to care though and promise to "investigate" but that's for fools. The government doesn't care either as long as the budget gets tax dollars and the country's big bosses get cheap labour. It is immoral but it's made moral. If any CCTV has audio at Deakin, it should be all examined and people will be amazed. This is probably not uncommon at other universities - something like a public secret. Everyone knows but no one cares or dares to care.
