The overall 2 per cent increase in sales over the week is attributed to a 5 per cent increase in sales for houses and 7 per cent for vacant land. However, sales for units decreased by 10 per cent over the week.
Total properties listed for sale increased by a marginal 1 per cent to 14,316. Listings for houses and vacant land both increased by 1 per cent, while unit listings remained unchanged in percentage terms.
The total number of listings recorded this week is 2 per cent higher in comparison to four weeks ago but 5 per cent lower than the same time last year.
Turning to the rental market, Reiwa members reported total properties available for rent decreased by 1 per cent over the week to 10,795.
This is 3 per cent lower compared with four weeks ago but remains 31 per cent higher than the same time last year.
