The overall 2 per cent increase in sales over the week is attributed to a 15 per cent increase in sales for houses. However, sales for units and vacant land decreased by 24 and 33 per cent respectively over the week.
Total properties listed for sale remained unchanged in percentage terms at 14,054.
Listings for houses remained stable over the week, while units and vacant land listings both recorded a marginal increase of 1 per cent. The total number of listings recorded this week is 2 per cent lower than four weeks ago and 1 per cent lower than the same time last year.
Turning to the rental market, Reiwa members reported total properties available for rent remained unchanged in percentage terms at 11,178. This is 3 per cent lower compared to four weeks ago but remains 36 per cent higher than the same time last year.
