The Fremantle Chamber of Commerce has appointed Peter Nolin as Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber.
Mr Nolin's appointment follows the retirement of long serving CEO John Longley., who orchestrated the successful Fremantle First campaign, which increased Fremantle's national and international profile over the past several years.
Mr Nolin said, "I am honoured by the opportunity to represent the Chamber and the business community of Fremantle at such a dynamic time. John has done such a fantastic job in bringing an international spotlight to Fremantle and helping to build a business culture that fits in with Fremantle's unique urban port character."
Mr Nolin joins the Chamber after his retirement as managing director of Gage Roads Brewing Co, where he was a founding partner and managed the company from start up through to its ASX listing.
"I have watched Fremantle evolve while retaining and developing its unique character. My goal is for the Chamber to continue to contribute to that growth by providing a strong voice for the Fremantle business community concerning the promotion and direction of the city," Mr Nolin said.
Mr Nolin has a degree in Political Science and is currently enrolled in the Executive MBA program at the University of Western Australia.
Prior to establishing Gage Roads, Peter was the Head Brewer at the Sail and Anchor Pub Brewery in Fremantle and has lived in the Fremantle area for the last 13 years
