Mehan to replace Clark at Grange
Grange Resources has appointed former Jupiter Mines and Portman managing director Richard Mehan as its new chief executive. Mr Mehan takes the helm at Grange from Russell Clark (pictured), whose resignation will be effective from September 15. Mr Clark has held the chief executive position at the magnetite producer since 2008. The change in leadership comes as the company has been awarded the final major environmental permit required for its Southdown joint venture magnetite project near Albany.
Ricketts heads Herbert Smith Freehills
Jason Ricketts has been appointed as Australian managing partner of Herbert Smith Freehills, which will begin operations in October as a result of the merger between international law firm Herbert Smith and Australian firm Freehills. Mr Ricketts is currently head of Freehills’ Perth office. The merged group will have 20 offices worldwide, 2,800 lawyers and 460 partners.
303Lowe expands
Advertising agency 303Lowe has added three new digital specialists to its web development offering through the acquisition of Perth-based web developer Web Insite. Rob Van Selm (pictured) has been appointed as project director, Seth Cleaver as user experience specialist, and Sean Molam as senior applications developer. 303Lowe now has 20 digital staff delivering full end-to-end digital services as part of an integrated communications offering.
Globetrotter’s Dickson wins travel award
Daryl Dickson has been awarded Australia’s best corporate travel consultant in this year’s Australian Federation of Travel Agents National Travel Industry Awards, which were held last Saturday night in Sydney. The award was handed out in recognition of Mr Dickson’s passion, travel expertise and customer service. Mr Dickson works at Nedlands-based Globetrotter Corporate Travel, which won the AFTA award for best travel agency corporate – multi location last year.
