Mix 94.5's breakfast program The Bunch has stretched its lead over rival ABC720's Eoin Cameron in the latest radio survey.
The Bunch pulled in an extra 3000 listeners to its program boosting its rating in the fiercely contested breakfast slot to 15.9 per cent, up from last survey's 14.6 per cent.
In comparison, Eoin Cameron gained an extra 1000 listeners, placing the ABC720 breakfast show in second place with 14.8 per cent of the market share.
Meanwhile the breakfast rating for Fairfax-owned 6PR dropped 1.9 per cent or 8000 listeners to 11.1 per cent, placing it fourth in the 5:30 to 9am slot. Mix 94.5's sister station 92.9 came in third.
In the follow up program slot of 9am to midday, Mix 94.5 continued its dominance despite dropping 1.3 per cent to 16.9 per cent of market share while ABC720 gained 0.5 per cent to 10.2 per cent.
Radio station 96fm suffered the biggest drop, 2 per cent, to 13.6 per cent, placing it second in the timeslot while 6PR's program gained an extra 2000 listeners to have 11.1 per cent of market share, a 1.2 per cent increase.
Overall, ratings remained relatively steady compared to the last survey period with Mix 94.5 retaining its number one spot with 16.8 per cent despite dipping 0.1 per cent.
Fairfax-owned 96fm came second despite dropping 1.5 per cent to 12.4 per cent, 92.9 placed third with 12.1 per cent followed by ABC720 which had 10.9 per cent of market share.
6PR rounded out the top five with 10.4 per cent or 24,000 listeners
