Mermaid Marine has booked an 18 per cent jump in interim net profit, on the back of strong demand for the company’s vessel, supply base and slipway services from ofshore oil & gas projects in the north west.

The company’s revenue for the six months to December 31 came in at $222 million, up 15 per cent on the $192.2 million earned in the previous corresponding half year.
