Mansell joins Foodbank as chairman

Former Freehills partner Peter Mansell has been appointed as the new chairman of Foodbank of Western Australia.

Mr Mansell holds previous experience at the chair of Western Power and West Australian Newspapers Holdings.

Foodbank WA chief executive Greg Hebble said the charity would benefit greatly with the addition of Mr Mansell's expertise.

"Foodbank is entering a critical phase of redevelopment, and with Peter chairing the Foodbank board, we have complete confidence of being able to execute our plans, and expanding our service to the community," Mr Hebble said.

Mr Mansell said he was proud to be able to contribute to the "increasingly important" service Foodbank offers.

Also, Ersnt & Young western region managing partner Michael Anghie was also appointed to the Foodbank board as a director.

Mr Hebble said Mr Anghie's experience developing financial and growth strategies would prove to be a great asset to Foodbank during its redevelopment.
