Fire breaks out in Welshpool store

About 60 firefighters fought an industrial fire in Welspool for three hours from 10am today, at a complex believed to be the Aquatechnics Pool Technology Display Centre.

It was the second of two fires for the morning, after a blaze broke out at what is believed to be the Klinger factory on McDowell Street in the early hours.

About 50 firefighters fought the first blaze for over three hours before containing it at 7:20am.

Klinger manufactures and distributes gas and fluid sealing solutions throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

A spokeswoman from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services said it would take time to determine whether the fires were accidental or deliberate.
