CTI Logistics keeps growing Hazelmere base

CTI Logistics has bought 67,000 square metres of land adjacent to its Hazelmere warehousing and distribution centre, in a private deal believed to be worth just under $19 million.

The land, bought as two properties, has been recently rezoned as industrial and brings CTI’s Hazelmere complex to a total of 154,000m2 of land.

In May CTI Logistics began its recent expansion plans when it bought 30,000m2 also adjoining its complex.

In a statement CTI said the new land purchase had been funded from a combination of working capital and expanded bank facilities.

Executive chairman David Watson told Business News the City of Swan had given planning approval for CTI's next stage of warehousing development and tenders had gone out to start building in the new year.

He said CTI, which has about 670 trucks in WA, was interested in expanding its services, particularly in the parcel business.

"Our parcel business in Bassandean and Welshpool are two of the largest parcel distribution services in Perth and other people in the online business including people like TNT, UPS, they use us to distribute a lot of their online stuff," he said.
