Bowler calls for Cemeteries Act review submissions

Local Government Minister John Bowler has called for submissions to a review of the laws affecting cemeteries, with a position paper reviewing the Cemeteries Act 1996 being produced for comment.

Minister for Local Government John Bowler said some of the proposals raised in the position paper related to providing more transparent processes for the retention or removal of memorials in the redevelopment of land used in cemeteries.
