In 1996 Mr Barnaba co-founded Poynton and Partners and its sister company, GEM Consulting, which was sold to the AST Group for more than $40 million in 2000.
Since then he has established Azure Capital, a boutique merchant bank, with former partners from his Poynton and Partners and GEM Consulting businesses in August of last year, where he is managing director.
After studying at Harvard Mr Barnaba worked in corporate finance, management consulting and investment banking in the US, UK and South Africa.
Currently he chairs the UWA Business School, where he also serves as an adjunct professor in investment banking and finance. He is also deputy chairman of the West Coast Eagles Football Club.
