Fabrication and construction company AusGroup says added to a string of contractors reporting strong profit growth on the back of resource sector construction projects. Irish contractor Kentz and local company Southern Cross Electrical Engineering have also reported strongly improved results.

Singapore-listed but Perth-based AusGroup announced today that it achieved a net profit of $23.3 million for the 12 months to June 30, up 88 per cent on the previous year on the back of a 5 per cent lift in revenue to $632 million.
