ABC 720's Eoin Cameron has taken the top spot in the breakfast radio slot while Triple J has substantially lifted its audience share in the latest radio ratings survey by Nielsen.
For the survey period between January 18 and February 14, Mr Cameron scored an audience share of 16.2 per cent, down 0.1 per cent from the previous survey.
Mix 94.5's The Bunch recorded 15 per cent in the fiercely contested breakfast timeslot, down 0.9 per cent.
Mix's sister station 92.9 came in third with 11.7 per cent, followed by 6PR with 10.5 per cent and Nova 93.7 with 10 per cent.
In the overall ratings Mix 94.5 retained its number one ranking with 15.6 per cent or an average audience of 39,000 while 92.9 came second with 13.4 per cent or 34,000 listeners.
ABC 720 climbed 0.1 per cent to 11.7 per cent while 96FM gained 0.2 per cent to 11.1 per cent.
However ABC's Triple J was the standout performer in all the timeslots.
In the overall ratings, the station recorded a 3.3 per cent gain to an audience share of 8.8 per cent while its morning program - from 9am to midday - made significant inroads with a 4.9 per cent jump to 10 per cent.
Triple J broadcasted its annual Hottest 100 on Australia Day.
