Anthony Derrick SC graduated in Law with Honours from The University of WA and commenced articles with Freehill Hollingdale & Page (now Freehills) in 1990. He was admitted to practice in 1991 and in 1992, he joined the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. Mr Derrick has extensive experience in the criminal law area, prosecuting matters on behalf of both the State and the Commonwealth Directors of Public Prosecutions and appearing in the Supreme, District and Children’s courts on a regular basis. He moved briefly to the Crown Solicitor’s Office in 2001 before joining the WA Bar Association and moving to practice as a barrister at Francis Burt Chambers in 2002. In 2009, Mr Derrick was appointed to the office of Senior Counsel.
